About Me

I've been teaching or tutoring in some form or another since 2004. I've tutored with nonprofit organizations such as Urban Youth Impact and Reading Partners, served as an instructor in the military overseas and as a contractor for a Fortune 500 company, and worked as a teacher in the California public school system. Through this variety of experiences, I've worked with many great educators and students, and found that everyone has a teaching and learning style that works best for them, and the key is finding a match. For myself, the most important attributes in my teaching ability are passion, patience, and perception. Bringing life to the material with creativity and insight kindles and a greater interest in the learner. Having the patience to follow the plan of execution helps the student feel at ease and puts them in a better mindset for success. Perception is crucial for understanding how a student can maximize their abilities, and which method of learning works best for them.
