About Me

I am a patient tutor who believes that knowledge is power. Making sure that my students learn in the best way that they can is very important to me, so I make it my personal mission to ensure that the student truly learns the material and is able to problem solve on their own. There is always more than one way to explain a problem, so if the student does not understand in one way, I make sure to implement other methods to teach them so that they can understand to the best of their ability. There is no stupid question except the one that is not asked. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Minor in English from Baylor University. I am currently a Doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Widener University. I have worked previously mostly with children between ages of 6 and 13 but I am comfortable working with students of all ages. I tutor in almost all subjects, but my favorites are Math, English, Psychology and Study and Organizational skills. Outside of tutoring, I like to write (mostly poetry), read, play all sports and do crafts. I love animals and have two dogs of my own. I am the kind of tutor who believes in the success of all students. No child left behind is truly my philosophy. I implement fun tactics during tutoring sessions to help keep my students engaged but make sure to retain a respectable demeanor at the same time.
