About Me

I am a graduate of Arizona State University in Tempe where I studied film production and business. Since graduating in 2010, I have lived in Los Angeles where I work in film production. I also love writing and making music. I spend my free time DJing and playing guitar. Originally from the Chicago area, I am a huge Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs fan. My tutoring experience began in Chicago while volunteering for 826CHI, a non for profit that paired kids with volunteers to help them with their creative writing work. After moving to Los Angeles, I picked up hours taking care of a kid for a great family. A huge part of my responsibilities included after school tutoring. I particularly love working on math problems because I enjoy the idea of breaking things down to their parts. Sometimes all it takes is strengthening the foundation in order to understand things better. Other subjects I love working on are reading and writing. I write everyday myself, and know that my passion for it came from the classes I took in grade school. I'd describe myself as extremely patient and calm. I always keep a professional demeanor and I understand that everyone learns differently. I also understand that learning this can be frustrating but the reward comes from breaking through those barriers and being able to use that information to help you further. That's a bit about me.
