It took me years of studying to understand that, sometimes it can really help to have the material presented in alternative ways. Having learned that, I sought help from various sources -- sometimes other people, sometimes other books, videos or materials -- and was able to overcome these hurdles. Now a laboratory manager and technician in a leading neuroscience laboratory in Philadelphia with a Master's Degree in Pharmacology, I'm interested in helping students as they work through their own struggles to grasp key concepts in their math and science courses. With a strong background in writing, and years of experience tutoring writing skills at Penn State University and as the new editor of Philly's Two. One. Five Magazine, I am also available to help students develop their writing and composition skills.
