About Me

Education should not be a mundane experience; it should allow people to use their skills and creativity to become innovative. It is for this reason that I teach students to develop an understanding of concepts--rather than dictate information--and identify ways to apply this knowledge for practical purposes. My style incorporates critical thinking exercises and real-world examples to explain core concepts. I have taught individuals from grade school through college in mathematics, physics and writing skills for nearly ten years, and each experience has allowed me to refine my methods to better help students become more proficient in their studies. Several of the students I work with notice substantial improvements in their academic performance within a short time frame. In addition, some individuals develop a genuine appreciation of the subject material and choose to pursue postsecondary studies and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).My goal is to provide students with an engaging and enriched learning experience. I look forward to the opportunity to help new students reach their academic potential.
