About Me

I've been tutoring since I was in high school. I started by tutoring French and teaching flute to younger students. I realized how much fun it is to teach and continued tutoring when I was in college. I tutored my fellow students in Mandarin Chinese, French, and Chemistry. After I graduated, I went to China and taught English both at a school and privately for three years. Right now I am teaching English as a Second Language at a language school here in San Diego. I like private tutoring a lot more than teaching large classes because it's much more personalized, and I can help the student learn exactly what they need. It's great to see someone make progress and become confident with something that he or she was previously struggling with. I am interested in tutoring anything related to English, especially grammar and vocabulary, SAT, ISEE, French, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, History and Social Studies, Algebra, Music Theory, and Flute. I am excited to meet my new students!
