The courses were in the fields of finance, statistics, management, computer science and mathematics. I was also the Math Specialist at Albertus Magnus College within the Academic Development Center. In this capacity, I provided one-on-one help to students and administered mathematics competency examinations to incoming freshmen. I have also taught spreadsheet, word processing and database fundamentals at non-degree technical schools such as Connecticut Business Institute and Branford Hall. I have always enjoyed helping students and tutored graduate courses while in graduate school. Math and its applications (e.g., finance, economics and statistics) comprise my favorite subjects. During my undergrad, I spent a year studying abroad in Spain, where I lived with a Spanish host family and took all of my courses in Spanish at the local university. More recently, I have completed a Certificate in Spanish Translation and Interpretation from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. In this program, I received training on medical, legal, commercial, and technological translation and interpretation. As a 2nd language learner of Spanish myself, I have personally experienced many of the common challenges that English speakers face when learning Spanish. Because of this, I am excited to share with students not only my love for the langauge, but also all of the tips and strategies that helped me learn difficult concepts.
