During my time at Clark, I focused extensively on intercultural communication, international affairs and development, policy, education, and diving into economics. I have worked within a variety of community colleges as an instructor and spent a lot of time working with high school-aged students on career development and tutoring a variety of subjects.Currently, I am a high school teacher where I teach and tutor students on subjects such as Social Studies, Economics, Global Studies, Government, US Government, Yearbook, and Dual Credit courses.Prior to my time at Clark University I spent a significant amount of time in Germany, so I am also able to tutor or teach German as well. I have a bachelor's degree in German as a foreign language and also worked at the University in Tubingen where I supported foreign students. I am a student of Mathematics and I'm going into my third year of study. Math is more than just a subject in school to me. It is a way of thinking that helps people in their everyday lives. That concept is what drives me when I tutor. Formulas and equations have their use and value, but the critical thinking that can be gained from the study of math is much more important. I have had success in showing students from where the formulas come and encouraging a deeper understanding of the topic at hand. I believe education in STEM related fields is vital in our society with the steep advancements in technology, and all STEM fields require a solid understanding of Math.

I am a 2nd year Doctor of Pharmacy student at Midwestern University. I am originally from California, but live in Arizona because I am attending school. I have accumulated about 5 years worth of tutoring experience from private tutoring, classroom teaching, and after-school programs where I used to work. My favorite subjects are math/science and I have tutored algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and SAT math in the past.
