I am a high school math teacher (9th grade) for the Cincinnati Public School district! I teach Algebra 1, a project-based STEAM class as well as remedial 9th grade mathematics. This will be my 2nd year teaching.Previously, I attended and graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in 7-12 Mathematics education, as well as a degree in Mathematics.At the collegiate level, I was a tutor for 3 years with subjects ranging from calculus with review to differential equations. I was also a teaching assistant for 3 years for a calculus course as well as for a calculus with review course.I have a passion for education and I would like to be an assistant principal in the future with a career in educational policy after.

I currently combine these fields in industrial design, where I am seeking a framework for customized design for the individual.In my free time, I travel and play with my dog, Sebastian. He is my world. I am an Atlanta native and lucky to have the majority of my family within driving distance.

I am an avid programmer,math enthusiast and love doing Salsa dancing. I enjoy helping students learn math and encourage them to develop a passion for math and science

I am currently taking classes at Temple University, majoring in middle school math and science education, and am expecting to graduate in the spring of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in education. I tutor in almost any subject of mathematics and I am confident that I can help any student in this area. I am quite understanding and patient which helps me teach students who struggle or are easily frustrated with math. I am also confident in this area because of my ability to help students understand what steps they need to take or what techniques will be the most helpful to their own specific learning.My main goal for teaching is to help students develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. These are not only important for math but can be used in any subject and become increasingly important as students move on from school and into the working world. I also believe it is absolutely vital to create an environment in which students are comfortable asking questions, answering questions, and sharing their own ideas. I want my students to feel safe sharing ideas because this will facilitate the learning process and help reduce stress during teaching sessions. Finally, I believe strongly in the importance of learning from one's peers through social interactions. It is a great idea to practice problems and ideas with friends and classmates because you can see different ways to look at and solve problems.

I am enthusiastic about educating and sharing my knowledge of real estate. I have been a Texas Licensed Real Estate Broker for over 15 years. I work at Keller Williams, The Metropolitan Office in Houston. Our office is a great learning and coaching environment. I have taught many of the newly licensed agents compliance, as well as through the Ignite coaching course. Outside of my professional experience and work in real estate, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my two sons through activities in Boy Scouts.

Right after graduation, I worked as an academic and test prep tutor as well as admissions consultant in Hong Kong. For the past two years, I worked with a number of students to help prepare them for college in the United States.Even though I tutor a wide range of subjects, I enjoy teaching English and standardized test preparation the most. I love helping my students find beauty in the English language in addition to helping them achieve their college goals. I also love working with students on their college essays because that's when I feel I get to know my students the best, as we talk through dreams, aspirations, and life experiences. I view education as a skill; education is not around to help us learn specific things, but rather education teaches us how to learn.Outside the classroom, I'm a well-traveled certified SCUBA diver who enjoys spending time kayaking and weightlifting. I also played ice hockey through college and performed as a classical pianist on campus and in Europe. When I'm not feeling so active, I can be found knitting, crocheting, reading, writing, and daydreaming about where I want to travel to next. I'm working on becoming a true Renaissance woman.

I tutor reading, writing at all levels, and lower grade math. one of my specializations is helping students of all ages to get things from their brain onto paper.I also specialize in tutoring students for college preparation and in editing essays and papers. High School students and their parents have consistently seen increases in the reading and writing sections of the SAT of 140 points. As the retired Director of Admissions and working at one of the nations most prestigious universities I can be a big help in the preparation of college application essays as well as any questions and answers. Finally, I take the same skills and can apply them towards helping you with any papers regarding editing or research.
