I am enthusiastic about helping students to improve their academic confidence, essays, and test scores. Through ACT and AP test tutoring, I hope to help high school students improve their abilities and get into their dream college.

I have 15 years of experience in the computer science industry and am an avid public speaker. I have given numerous talks at conferences around the world. I am particularly excited about breaking down difficult topics into easy to understand sessions. My career spans working at the industry's most established companies.

I am a graduate of Brandeis University with a BA in Computer Science and a Security+ certification from CompTIA. I offer tutoring in high school math, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. My goal is to become a high school math teacher.While math can be a challenging subject, it can also be deeply rewarding. Math has countless applications in fields ranging from finance, engineering, science, health, technology/computation, data analysis, AI, economics, and many more areas. I firmly believe that with enough practice students can improve their grades and understanding of math.Math is best understood by doing. Once a concept is explained and demonstrated, students should then try to solve problems to see if they understand the ideas involved or if they need to spend some more time on the material before advancing to the next concept.

I am a doctorate in Chemistry and master's in software systems. Since graduation, I have tutored many students in Chemistry and computer science as a hobby and to encourage students to show case strengths in Chemistry and Computer Science. In my spare time, I enjoy Jogging that which enriches my life along with yoga and meditation.

I'm a Sathyabama University alum. Programming and Full Stack were the main areas of emphasis in my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. Since graduating, I've built a lot of online courses, coaching students from all over the globe through a no-fee program, helping adults who want to advance their computer skills (I'm a certified developer and teacher), and working with customers from across the world. I instruct a variety of disciplines, but Full Stack Web Development is my area of greatest interest. I've worked with difficult kids to help them prepare for standardized tests, and we always seem to make the greatest progress (and have the most fun) working on the Critical Reading and Coding sections of the tests. I strongly believe that education is essential for a higher quality of life, and I work hard to instill this belief in all of my pupils. In my free time, I like to read books that add value to my life and practice yoga, run, and create projects.

Armed with bachelors and juris doctor degrees from a small, liberal arts college (Washington and Lee University), I embarked on a fulfilling career of teaching, consulting, and mentorship. I have been a legal consultant, college professor at three separate colleges including the University of Phoenix, American Intercontinental University, and Axia College, business owner, management consultant, blogger, and now an active tutor. These experiences have given me distinguished experience to guide students of any age. When starting any tutoring session, my goals for each student at the outset are always to: 1) enlighten through current events, 2) offer application of course concepts, 3) motivate for sustained learning beyond the classroom, and 4) ensure full comprehension of the concepts. Although my subjects typically present theoretical concepts, these concepts can be easily learned because many others have learned them too. The concepts also have real-world application. I utilize current events to clarify course concepts and give students a reference point for those concepts. For me, it is also important that my students not only learn the course concepts for the sake of passing tests and submitting good papers. But, it is equally important that they are motivated beyond my tutoring sessions to continue learning and possess a knowledge base that they could use even ten (10) years from now.

I hold a BS from Muhlenberg College in Neuroscience with a minor in music, where I was a certified tutor for 3 years. I am currently enrolled in a Master's of Occupational Therapy program. I tutor subjects including Biology and Psychology, as well as music and some math. My favorite part of teaching students is hearing them explain concepts that they used to struggle with back to me, showing their new expertise. When not at school, I volunteer extensively with the Down syndrome community. I hope to connect soon!
