I am eager to help students thrive because I'm still very much a student myself, and will be for the foreseeable future. Though I enjoyed my time as an undergraduate student in Literature, and learned quite a bit during my time at Vanderbilt, there's still more work to be done. I am working towards a Master's degree, and will continue on from there.

I am happy to help students prepare for these exams. I enjoy students of all ages and am excited to tutor a wide range of subjects, although my first loves are math and English (especially grammar). I truly believe my sincere energy and enthusiasm can help make students excited about learning. I welcome questions and value honesty while tutoring. I am a graduate of the University of Chicago where I received my undergraduate degree in political science. Right after graduation, I worked as an academic and test prep tutor as well as admissions consultant in Hong Kong. For the past two years, I worked with a number of students to help prepare them for college in the United States.

I am a graduate of Northwestern University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. I am currently pursuing a masters degree in social work at the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration. I am passionate about tutoring because I want everyone to be able to perform academically at their highest possible level. I also think it is important that learning is not just for one assignment or one test, but rather that it sticks with you to build a solid foundation of knowledge and confidence that you can carry forward. My favorite subjects to tutor include English, SAT test preparation, math, and psychology. My approach to tutoring is to meet the student where they're at and go from there. I find that this way we can build a productive tutoring relationship where I can help individualize learning to each person's particular learning style. Outside of academic interests, I enjoy cooking, being with friends and family, traveling the world, and looking as ridiculous as possible doing Zumba.

I am a current law student at Washington University in St. Louis and also graduated summa cum laude from their undergraduate program in 2014. I have dual citizenship with the US and Chile, and my hispanic roots have always been very important to me. I grew up speaking Spanish but have also dedicated a significant portion of my academic studies to Spanish language and literature as well. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and take pride in helping make the Spanish language and various Spanish-speaking cultures more accessible to anyone willing to learn.

I am a high school English teacher, currently working primarily with 10th grade students. I have previously worked at middle and elementary schools as well. I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2016 with a B.A. in English and Theatre. I then got my M.S.Ed from Northwestern. I have worked with children of all ages in various capacities, including teaching, and I find that the best way for students to learn is to have fun and engage them. I have a doctorate in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois, Chicago and over 5 years' experience teaching college level biology courses in classroom (as a teaching assistant) and in private tutoring settings. In my teaching/tutoring roles, I plan and lead discussion sections in Mendelian and Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, and Cell Biology. I create worksheets and practice questions to help student prepare for exams. I also guide students to understand and master course concepts in the above-mentioned courses as well as in research methods, and dissertation writing . I have helped improve students' grades, self-confidence and study skills, in part through motivating students and practicing constructivist teaching/learning approaches.

I have an excellent academic record, haven taken 14 AP courses throughout high school, and have preformed well on many standardized exams. I strive to help other students to do the same! I have three years of experience tutoring peers at high school, college, and privately, primarily in English, Math, and SAT prep. Though I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about helping students conquer Standardized Tests (specifically the reading and writing sections) and English. I want to help students excel on Standardized Exams so they can pursue their higher education goals. I direct my tutoring towards identifying students' learning methods and catering to those to establish continued engagement in doing so, I hope to foster a love of learning similar to mine. Outside of tutoring and school, I enjoy reading and believe that reading consistently is the key to succeeding in writing and preforming well on Standardized Exams. My love for creative writing has also led me to draft a novel which I am continuing to edit, and as an Assistant Director of the Campus Activities Board at Boston College I plan live music-focused events to engage students on campus.
