Hello! My name is Francisco J Ronquillo. I was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, but was raised along the border in southern New Mexico; therefore, I am blessed to be bilingual and bicultural.

Growing up, I was always curious about how things worked- from cars & planes to structures and computers. I therefore decided to pursue (and graduated with) a degree in Engineering at UCONN in Connecticut. I currently tutor middle school math, algebra, k-12 english, writing, and essay editing. Even as an engineer, my favorite subject to tutor is writing because I get to help people communicate and find their voice. Understanding how to relay a message to a targeted audience is a an amazing skill to have in any job or industry.I have a passion for teaching students to be their own goal-setters and problem-solvers, that have a drive to tackle anything that life throws their way. We can achieve anything we set our minds to when we are dedicated and put in the effort!One of the things I am currently learning how to do is to play the piano, and I can tell you first hand that practice and determination does make a difference! Outside of tutoring, I also love to dance, ski, and watch airplanes! Hope we can connect sometime soon. :)

I will never forget my fifth grade teacher. My fifth grade teacher was cool, easy to talk to, and inspired all of his students to aim for the stars. He drove me to challenge myself each and every day; andto learn from every situation that is presented before us. He showed me that education can be extremely fun and exciting!I was one of many misguided students who saw him as the coolest teacher in the world. One could not wish for a greater role model. If I could connect with one student in my years of tutoring as my fifth grade teacher once did, it would all be worthwhile! The young and eager minds of students have once been compared to me like the seeds of a tree. We must nourish and foster their dreams to allow them to grow and flourish!

I am an educator and mom of 3 from Pennsylvania. I have been volunteering and working in the field of education for about 16 years now. I have a genuine love for learning and passion for teaching!I graduated from Florida State University with my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Special Education. I am also a certified teacher in Florida and Pennsylvania. I spent 6 years working in a Special Needs school as a job coach, substitute teacher and both an elementary and secondary classroom teacher. I have also taught ESL online for the past 4 years and have my TESOL Certification.My goal when teaching or learning is always to have fun. I try to come up with exciting and engaging ways to motivate students and keep their attention. I include music, games, videos and movement in my lessons whenever possible!In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside, exercising, cooking, dancing and listening to music.

I have enjoyed teaching English online for the last 3 years. I have experience teaching ages 3-15. I have also taught Art in an Elementary School for 10 years. I enjoy teaching and speaking to children, and helping them meet their education goals. I enjoy learning languages as well. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign languages, German and Spanish. I also have a Masters Degree in Journalism.

I completed a BA in Anthropology and a BFA in Commercial Art in 1996, both with honors from the University of Central Missouri. In 1998, I completed a MA in Art with an emphasis in Watercolor at the same university. During my studies, I achieved honors in the university's juried Student Citation Awards Show and won the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Anthropology from the Department of History and Anthropology. I have presented work in juried shows and exhibitions across the Mid-west and East Coast. Such exhibitions as the Red River Watercolor Society juried exhibition in 2000 where I won the DaVinci Merchandise Award, and the Kansas City Regional Council For Higher Education. My current series of work combines my love of anthropology with my ambitions in painting. I paint landscapes and cityscapes in a photorealistic style with arbitrary color choices. I do this to draw attention to places that have a history that may not be familiar with most viewers. My passion has developed into teaching, having spent time with grade levels K-12th in all areas of education. I am experienced in areas of reading, writing, history, physical education, and art. Some science, biology, and mathematics too. I have a long history of being a personal trainer and gym owner, so I am very comfortable working one-on-one with clients. And also, I believe in being prompt and on time with lessons. In my spare time, I am active in producing art, weightlifting, reading voraciously and learning recipes from other cultures to try on with my friends.

I graduated from Haverford College with High Honours in Classical Language and Literature and from Oxford University (MSt) in Classics. My academic background includes a large amount of reading, analysis, and writing, which are suited to the SAT preparation. I especially love teaching Latin; over the past four years I have helped students master grammar and translation, while transferring my enthusiasm for the language and literature itself. I work very hard to make sure that my students make progress! In order to make this happen, I will tailor my approach to a subject to the specific needs of each student. In my spare time, I do landscape painting in oils and pastels. I also enjoy rowing and generally being outdoors.

I am dedicated to making sure that each student is learning and has the skills that they need to be successful in school and in life.
