Since graduating I have been an interpretive naturalist at Croydon Creek Nature Center in Rockville, MD, a teaching fellow at the New York Aquarium in Brooklyn, NY, and now I work within the Education Department at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, NY. Given my background in the natural sciences, my favorite subjects to teach include environmental science, ecology, and biology. What I love about teaching is making seemingly difficult concepts easy to comprehend by applying them to real world scenarios. I firmly believe that all students can thrive when lessons are tailored to their learning styles. When my students succeed, I succeed. I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Administration in Science Degree. I have enough credits to get an associate in Education and Business Administration. Currently, I spend a lot of time studying physics as it relates to the human body and how the human body functions. I am in the process of obtaining a Health Coaching Certification.I have been a substitute teacher in the Detroit Michigan area in the past. Also, I have tutored students in as part of supporting the program "No Child Left Behind" through Tutor Mates. I am passionate about physics. My motto is math is vital and important, and physics makes the world churn. It is foundational to everything we do on this planet and in this universe.I have learned that there are multiple learning styles and I like to meet students where they are to explore and bring out their learning style.
