The HiSET® (High School Equivalency Test) is one of three exams, along with the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) and the General Education Development (GED) exam, recognized in the United States as a certification for a high-school-level education.
The HiSET® test consists of five subtests:
- Language Arts - Reading
- Language Arts - Writing
- Social Studies
The Reading subtest has 40 multiple-choice questions, while all other subtests have 50. The Writing subtest also has an essay question.
