I have over 8 years of experience working with children.I worked for two years in the special education field and two years in second grade. I have over 5 years experience with preschool children.I also taught developmental math at the college level for two years.When I am not tutoring I enjoy church activities, spending time with my family and crocheting.I look forward to helping you meet your educational goals.

As a High School Spanish Teacher, I have the experience to tutor students with different learning styles. My goal as a Tutor is to simplify the topics that students find to be challenging, making the learning process meaningful and fun. I have a B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Education from Queens College. I have an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University, in New York. I have been prepping students for the Spanish Regents, currently known as the FLB, with success in speaking, listening, reading and writing for 11 years. Although I was born and raised in the United States, I attended high school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I currently live in the coastal town of Bayville, NY. I enjoy paddle boarding, bike riding, reading and going to the movies.

I am a PhD Student in Linguistic Program at the University of Georgia. I received my Master’s degree in English Education at University of Missouri. My area of study is language acquisition and language learning process. As a native speaker of Chinese, my previous teaching experience includes working with bilingual Chinese American children in a Chinese language school and teaching English to the students in Chinese middle school, I am currently an instructor of the linguistic class at UGA. My past experience enabled me to gain excellent teaching skills as well as the ability to work with learners from different language backgrounds and age groups. I believe that language learning is not merely absorbing the linguistics of the language, but also the culture attached to it. I am passionate about Chinese language tutoring and willing to help students prepare for Standardized Tests. By integrating cultural aspects into my teaching, I expect my students to not only develop solid language skills, but also to be able to think in that language, which serves as the soul of that country and people who speak it. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, cycling and yoga.

I am a Senior at The College of New Jersey, currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. During my high school years, I was a member of the National Honor Society, in which I was tasked with tutoring students in French and Physics. I am most passionate about tutoring math and physics subject; being an engineering student, I use these subjects all the time and have a firm grasp on them. Due to the abstract nature of these topics, I often use a lot of real life analogies and draw/write out my thoughts so that students can more easily visualize what is being taught. As a tutor, I not only want to advance my students knowledge and understanding of the subject, but also want to show my students the relevance and applications of it in a fun and engaging setting. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and spending time with friends.

I graduated this Spring from Duke University and I'm in the process of applying to Master's programs for marine biology. I've been a motivated and committed student for the past 15+ years and I'm excited to bring my knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for learning and teaching to all of my tutoring sessions. Although I majored in Biology at Duke, I got a minor in Classical Studies - or ancient Greece and Rome - so I have a pretty diverse educational background. In addition to my studies in college, I was DUMB (a proud member of the Duke University Marching Band) and I conducted research on Hawaiian monk seals. In the future, I hope to participate in more field work with marine mammals and eventually become a professor, so I look forward to incorporating tutoring into my educational track!

I have taught students in various subjects from Kindergarten to the collegiate level. I have been a private tutor for almost 12 years now. I have a BA in English and a JD, both of which have required me to develop my language and particularly writing skills. I have student taught college Chemistry, and I have written Continued Learning materials for a Continuing Legal Education symposium. I worked as a nanny for over 8 years before I had my own child. I am quite familiar with being around children and encouraging them to grow. I have never had a student under my instruction not succeed, which is an accomplishment I am quite proud of. My students walk away from the classroom understanding the material.

I graduated valedictorian of my major with a B.S. in Communications from Cornell in 2013 and spent the better part of the next year teaching English abroad before I headed back home to the U.S. to transition into law school. I am interested in one thing and one thing only: getting you the grade you want on the LSAT. While I initially struggled with the exam, scoring a low score on my initial diagnostic, in three months of study I was able to achieve a much higher score, and I am sure that the systems that I created in preparing for the exam will greatly aid you in your efforts to excel. I firmly believe anyone with the right guidance and dedication is capable of improving their score on the LSAT.Beyond the test, however, I am a pretty down to earth guy. During college I was a player in an improvisational comedy troupe for two years as well as a member of my university's table tennis team (yes these exist). In my spare time I enjoy running, reading, and playing fetch with my dog.

I am passionate about helping students because I was once in their shoes, trying to learn and understand challenging new topics.I have helped students excel in algebra, chemistry, and other disciplines related to math and science. I am currently studying applied mathematics with a concentration in civil engineering at Oakwood University.I tutor in mathematics (Algebra I & II, Geometry) and in the physical sciences (chemistry and physics).I teach students until they adequately understand the subject to teach it to someone else.Outside of academia, I love studying geography and international relations. I also love the outdoors.
