Certified Tutor
As a Juris Doctor candidate at New York Law School and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I've developed a strong foundation in critical thinking, analysis, and communicationskills that directly impact my approach to tutoring. My passion for helping students stems from years of experience in both academic and professional settings where clarity, support, and motivation are paramount.
Before law school, I served as Lead Demand Writer at a personal injury law firm, producing hundreds of persuasive legal documents under tight deadlines, all while mentoring five new team members. That experience not only sharpened my writing and editing skills but also underscored the value of patience, structure, and individualized guidance, values I carry into every tutoring session. At New York Law School, I continue to support my peers as a notetaker, distilling complex legal lectures into organized, accessible study tools.
I tutor in subjects such as reading, writing, English, and study skills, with a special love for helping students build confidence in their analytical writing and communication. Writing is not only a technical craft but a way of thinking clearly and expressing oneself persuasively, skills I find deeply rewarding to teach.
My tutoring style is encouraging, adaptive, and centered on the student's goals. I believe in fostering a space where students feel heard, supported, and challenged to think independently. I strive to make difficult material not only understandable, but engaging and empowering.
Outside of academics, I enjoy freelance writing, running, traveling, and cooking. I recently started a book club with friends, where we discuss fiction, history, and memoirs as a great way to blend learning and community.
