I am a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in psychology & graduate at Walden with a MS in Psychology with a speciality in forensics. I currently am working on my PhD. in clinical psychology so that I can both study mental illness & assessments, as well as counsel people in a private practice. I have many years of Teaching and assisting both diverse and neuro-diverse learners in different subjects. In addition to being an aide to teaching high school at the high school level, I have taught adult education in the field of cosmetology and aesthetics. I am passionate about psychology, history, social sciences, social studies, english, and reading, because these fields influence our daily life. Psychology is a key subject because it combines history and science. I strongly believe that with proper teaching in the fields of history and psychology that life becomes easier and more manageable. The skills learned in psychology can be used to hack ones brain in order to help one excel in many different subjects. My tutoring & teaching style is one that is constructivist. That is we learn through building on past experience with real world applications, and being challenged in a motivating environment. Outside of teaching & tutoring I enjoy yoga, meditation, acting, reading and participating in local re-enactments as well as portraying historical figures at charity events to help the community. I am the number one person who portals Col. Edward Parke Custis Lewis. I am also currently working on publishing my first book.
