I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Nicholas: Oshawa tutor

Certified Tutor

I'm a recent graduate from Hillsdale College with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Next year, I will be continuing my studies in math by completing a MSc in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing at Oxford University. Eventually, I hope to become a professor of mathematics at a liberal arts college like Hillsdale. Much of my experience in teaching and tutoring comes from my time at Hillsdale. For the past three years, I have worked as a tutor within the math and physics departments, providing individual and group tutoring sessions for students in Calculus I and II, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and University Physics I and II. I've also served as a teaching assistant to several math and physics professors, grading papers and providing review sessions before exams. I'm excited to continue to work one-on-one or in small groups with people interested in learning math and physics, especially those looking for help in early college courses, such as Calculus and Linear Algebra. I'm also happy to help students with both the verbal and the math sections on standardized tests such as the SAT or the GRE.
