I have a background in government and government administration. I was interested in social studies since I was young and may ability to comprehend the subject matter has made it easy to explain it to people in a way that engages and makes the information feel relevant.

I have experience helping special education and general education high school students with geography, world history, US History, Government, and Economics. Even though these are my strongest areas I also spend time teaching ELA at the middle school and elementary levels. I currently work teaching special education at the elementary level.

My approach to teaching focuses on Perennialism. I give students all of the tools and info they they need to succeed, but I also teach them to think critically so they can succeed in their future studies as well. I guide them towards really comprehending the material and its relevance instead of just memorizing it.
