Certified Tutor

Hey! My name is Kathleen, and I am currently a (4.0) student at Oklahoma Baptist University. My major is mathematics, and my minor is in computer science. I have extensive experience tutoring math for elementary school, middle school, high school, and college students. I have received excellent feedback and have helped students raise grades by a full letter. Though admittedly I am a math nerd, I have experience tutoring other subjects including English, reading, essay editing, history, and (very basic) chemistry. I have been able to maintain excellent grades in all subjects, and I feel confident in all my listed subjects!
Currently, I serve as OBU's tutoring center's math coordinator. Also, I grade quizzes and homework for a College Algebra class, Intermediate Algebra class, and a Calculus I class.
I have always been a good student, and I hope to pass along excellent study habits to everyone that I tutor. Math is one of my true passions, and I genuinely love to help others gain confidence in their math abilities!

Hobbies

One of my favorite hobbies is running! I started track and cross country in the sixth grade, and it seems that I have been running ever since. I've run countless 5ks and 2 half marathons. My goal someday is to run a full marathon. I also love to read and write! I've written a few short stories and countless poems. I doubt they will ever be seen by another soul besides myself, but only time will tell. More recently, I have been very interested in cooking, including the "science" of how it all works. I've made a few dishes that I'm extremely proud of, and a few that needed to go straight to the trash.
