Certified Tutor

My name is Amanda and I recently graduated with a BS in Chemistry from Furman University. I will be availablefor tutoring in math (all levels up to and including BC Calculus), physics, and chemistry, as well as English and history. I tend to favor explaining not only the procedure for how to solve specific problems but also the theory behind the procedure. I find that this makes the procedure itself more memorable and easier to apply to similar problems elsewhere. In other words, the key to any science or math problem is knowing how to think through it. That is why I am here: to explain how to think through the problem.

For students who plan on following the premed track for college, I am willing to meet with you over the summer to help you get a head start in chemistry and physics classes. I know that those science requirements can be daunting, especially for humanities majors on the premed track, but I would be willing to help show you what is ahead if you are interested.
