I am a graduate of The University of Houston. I received my Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a focus on US government institutions and a minor in Spanish. Since graduation, I have worked for the US House of Representatives and the Texas House of Representatives where I really discovered my passion for writing. Currently, I am working toward an MFA in Creative Writing and working as a copyeditor and writing consultant. I work with students from the high school to doctoral level to help them show their brilliance to the world. I believe that education is essential for a rich life, and I hope to pass that belief to my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction, jogging with my dog, camping, and playing guitar.
