Professional and experienced Spanish tutor with a Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed.) Curriculum and Instruction in Bilingual Education from Houston Baptist University HBU and a second master in Spanish Creative Writing and Literature from Univetsidad Sagrado Corazn. I have 13 years teaching Spanish successfully at all levels: Spanish from level 1-4, Pre-AP, AP-Literature, AP-Language and Culture, Heritage Spanish courses, Bilingual Education. I provide training for those new teachers in PRAXIS, TEXES and CSET Spanish teaching certification exam. I am a LOTE EC-12 - Spanish Highly Qualified Certified Teacher in the State of Texas and, I possess the endorsement with the highest score on the PRAXIS Test - Spanish World Language. I am a native Spanish speaker and English is my second language; for that reason, I can help my students to acquire the skills and the abilities needed to perform in a second language acquisition. During my first day of instruction, I will immerse my students in the Spanish-speaking cultures providing them access to art, music, literature, and film. There are more than 350 million native Spanish speakers worldwide and approximately 37 million are in the US. I will provide my students with areal-life experiences to enhance and expand their opportunities to improve their employment potential in the Spanish Speaking World. I love seeing my students speaking and interacting with the language as the Spanish speaking people do. I am a firm advocate that education expands horizons and provide the essentials for an improved quality of life. I want to let you know that in my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to classical music, dancing Latin-American rhythms and traveling.
