I received my Bachelor of Science in Geology with a comprehensive science minor and a Master of Science in Geology with a Geophysics emphasis from BGSU. I attended the University of Toledo, where I studied in the master's program in Physics and Astronomy and studied water vapor clouds in the Martian atmosphere, and then at Purdue University, where I studied in the Doctoral program in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, working on Computational Geophysics and whole earth mantle convection, with a particular study of the uplift history of the Tibetan Plateau. I have worked as a geophysicist professionally in the oil and gas industry. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Physics in general, Thermodynamics specifically, and Geology. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be critically necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all my students. In my experience, helping struggling students gain skills builds the necessary confidence to succeed in further studies, and then to carry that success into other areas of life.
