Certified Tutor

I am a current student at Georgetown's Master of Science in Foreign Service program where I study global politics and security with a focus in security and conflict management. Prior to this I spent 3 years working in Jordan for the UN and a large INGO. I completed my undergraduate studies at Pitzer College where I double majored in International Relations and Middle East Studies. Prior to that I attended Concord Academy a small and rigorous prep school outside of Boston. These rigorous academic experiences have prepared me well for tutoring in developing time management and study, and writing skills, a well-rounded knowledge base and language skills in intermediate Arabic and advanced Spanish.

In addition I have spent time tutoring ESL at immigrant justice centers, life skills in prisons, various children's summer camp classes, socio-emotional skills through poetry and general academic tutoring with disadvantaged youth. I really understand that different people have different learning styles and it is essential to adjust my approach as a tutor to make sure our time is constructive and engaging. I also understand it is important to have fun!!
