Certified Tutor
I received by B.A. in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in biology from the University of California at Berkeley in May of 2013. Though I enjoy tutoring a broad range of subjects, I love mathematics, and am passionate about making it an engaging and straightforward subject for my students. I also value higher education, and therefore take pride in giving my students the tools to succeed on the SAT to help them begin that journey.
While in high school, I tutored middle school and high school students in math. Later in college, I tutored many of my fellow band members in various levels of calculus. Since graduation, I was able to apply those skills working for the FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition in Washington, DC.
Outside tutoring, I love acro yoga, rock climbing, flying trapeze, road biking, and teaching gymnastics. These activities allow me to be active, creative, and playful in my daily life.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I enjoy breaking concepts down into easily understood pieces for my students. This allows my students to have a positive learning experience on the way to understanding a larger, more complicated topic.
