We finished covering the math section of the exam. I left him with several packets of material to review so we can quiz over it next week. I also asked him to review all of the math we had covered. We will finalize the science section next week.

The student and I met from 9 to 10:30, only 90 minutes this session given her tight schedule. We focused mostly on passages and she completed test 2 before going over year 3 passages up to the point that she had worked. I also mentioned to her the strategy that she needs to have for the next few weeks leading up to the test. She needs to squeeze in as much practice as she can between her theater production and her test. We are set to meet again on Sunday.

The student and I finished our last ACT prep session before her test. We worked on the ACT English and science practice sections online on the ACT website. Progress was really good. She answered most of the questions correctly.

Today, the student and I went over the Analyzing an Argument essay she had written for homework. Though her structure and style were quite good, we focused on staying on topic and clear for the body paragraphs and coming up with concrete examples to support her topics. We then spent an hour or so going over math as far as content and GRE question style. Finally, we generated an outline for the Analyzing an Issue essay. The student will write an essay on a new topic for homework.

Today the student had a quiz in physics. We started on energy, which is the next section her class will cover. We did a general lesson, then some practice problems. We also reviewed her algebra homework.

Continued research until the student found a good thesis that meets the requirements of the assignment. Played with different wording of the thesis. Also came up with the three supporting examples to support the thesis. He will write a first, rough draft and we will look at it on Monday the 18th.
