I am a fourth-year medical student at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and am pursuing my dream career of being a physician. I received my Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Loyola University Chicago. I have experience tutoring my younger brother and cousins in math and basic English. I was also a volunteer math tutor for elementary school children in the North Chicago area during my undergraduate years. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about elementary/middle school math, pre-algebra, and ESL. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, digital design projects, cooking, meditating, and exercising.Reflecting back on my journey, I can't help but feel immense gratitude for my mentors. I am fortunate to have had incredible teachers and advisors who challenged me, encouraged me, and guided me to become the person I am today. These personal experiences have helped me appreciate how great of a privilege it is to be able to teach and significantly influence another individual's life through education. I understand the great academic rigor and skillset required of tutors, and the incredible value of explaining things simply and effectively. I consider it an honor to be able to facilitate knowledge and help others develop life-long tools to better navigate difficult scenarios and improve their quality of life. I believe my past experiences have well-prepared me for this task and I am ecstatic about this opportunity to serve our community.

I am a multilingual (English, Arabic & American Sign Language) clinical fellow Speech-Language Pathologist. I graduated from Lewis University in May 2022 with a M.S in SLP and from Governors State University in May 2020 with a B.H.S in CDS. I have a desire in helping others pass the SLP praxis exam with confidence and with a good skill set. I love communication and language which is why I also have a desire to teach American Sign Language and Arabic. I believe learning is a never ending process and that each person learns a different way; that is why I am here to show you my strategies and teach you skills that have helped me throughout my journey.

I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education, a M.A. in Religion with a concentration in Biblical Studies with 18 hours in Theology and a 120 hour TESOL. I have 4 years experience teaching English as an Online ESL teacher to children in China, Japan, and Taiwan, ages 3 to 18, and experience teaching in the classroom as a teacher assistant and mixed 1st and 2nd grade teacher, a babysitter, and Sunday school teacher. I have taught English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Reading, Vocabulary, Grammar, Phonics, Spelling and Handwriting.I believe learning should be student centered, fun, and engaging in a collaborative learning environment where students interact with their peers. I am a RDH who has been practicing clinical hygiene for five years. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene, eager to pursue teaching opportunities in the field of dentistry. During my bachelor's program, I had the chance to experience teaching dental hygiene students which increased my interest in education. I am passionate about dental hygiene and love to help others. Throughout my hygiene education, I had terrific instructors who helped me grow in my career. I would love to be able to provide this same experience to dental hygiene students. The NBDHE for licensing can be difficult, but through my experience and education, I can provide help to those who need it. I am patient and understanding and can relate to what you are experiencing.
