Today went well - we covered her exam practice test again. The student had a pretty good grasp on the velocity stuff, and we were able to explain the questions she wasn't sure on (things like astronomy and density). In most cases, they ended up being easier than she was anticipating, and she seemed relieved to discover that after we did the problems.

We covered multiple geometric concepts as we are working together through an online course. The student is doing well and has a good understanding of the concepts once we have discussed them and worked through examples. His attitude is outstanding, and I really enjoy working with him.

The student and I met for final preparation for his AP exam. We worked on a full section of AP multiple choice question and parts of another together, and I answered his questions as they arose in the context of preparing for the exam and what to anticipate seeing on the exam.

Today the student and I worked on generating more ideas for his Bilingualism paper that is due tomorrow. We specifically worked on developing some of his claims further by including reasons for his claims as well as establishing causal relationships between concepts. We also went over adding a "So What?" or real-world application, to his paper.

The student is preparing for a test this week. We solved more trig equations that involved various trig formulas. We also used those formulas to find the exact measures of half and double angles as well as the sum and difference of the angles. He needs to become more comfortable with the formulas so that he can easily identify what each question is asking him to do. We will continue to work on this.

The student had a pretty easy time working independently through his take-home math test. The test covered several topics on inequalities that I went over with him in detail in previous sessions, so he was very confident and answered all those questions correctly. The newer topics on functions took a bit more thought, but he still was able to work them out himself.
