The student and I continued working on Geometry for next school year. Every session, the student is given multiplication and division facts to complete in 1.5 minutes and flash cards to review throughout the week. We covered chapters 1.4-1.7 in her Geometry book and she was assigned homework.

The student always comes to her lessons prepared and ready to play. She is beginning to sight read and doing quite well, also coming along nicely with paying attention to dynamic markings and recognizing accidentals when they come along. Good job this week!

The student and I met from 1:10 to 2:40 and covered Math for the most part and a little bit of Chemistry towards the end. The Math consisted of more practice with factorization and simplification of polynomial expressions. For Chemistry the topic was an introductory worksheet to speed of light, wavelength and frequency of waves. The student is to complete the three worksheets and email them to me before our next visit on Wednesday.

The student and I began the session by reviewing key vocabulary. We then reviewed several mathematics test taking strategies. These strategies were then practiced on actual ISEE practice problems. Nice work!

I introduced the student today to quantum mechanics and orbital theory. He seemed to understand the gist of everything, but I still strongly encouraged him to read the chapter again.
