I am a graduate student at Columbia University studying Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences.

I have a BA in History/Secondary Education and I currently working towards my Master's Degree. I have over 10 years of teaching experience, plus 5 years of private tutoring. I have tutored all ages and grades, as well as, preparation for entrance exams and grade level exams. I love History and ELA. I love to learn it, as well as, teach it. I am constantly reading and trying to learn something new. I try to tailor all of my tutoring sessions to each of my students. I spend time getting to know each student, so that we can work in a way that will help him or her get to where he or she wants to be.

I am a graduate student at the Harvard School of Public Health living, working, and studying in Boston, MA. I have a passion for people and for learning. Specifically, I have studied Spanish for ten years, and graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Spanish in 2014. I have served as a teaching assistant for a class of ESL kindergarteners and have lived abroad in Costa Rica and Mexico. I am comfortable with students of all ages and ability levels in Spanish, and also available for ESL tutoring. I also have a degree in Biology, and my current graduate school program and research incorporate a lot of statistics. Therefore, I am also comfortable with tutoring in high school and undergraduate level biology and statistics. I am available most evenings and weekends. I can work online or in person in the Boston area. I am flexible to work with your schedule!

I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade Mathematics for several years. I am a Texas certified 4th-8th Mathematics teacher. I will be obtaining my Master's Degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in August.

I've always thrived in an academic environment. I love learning for the sake of learning, and in turn love helping others on their educational journey.My teaching philosophy is centered around building a deep understanding of the material, I have my students complete problems themselves and offer support and explanations when there is a question or a gap in their knowledge. I spend a lot of time thinking of ways to visualize complex topics, and finding ways to communicate over a wide range of learning styles.I am one of those who needs tactile, auditory and visual methods of learning to really deeply absorb a topic, so I try to listen to my students and approach their lessons with the lens which fits them best. I love big concepts and like to connect simple skills to the larger picture in a way that stops anyone from coming from a lesson saying "Why should I learn this?". No matter how old they are, or whether they are passionate about the subject, learning is a joy and I hope to impart that lesson above any other to my students. :)

My passion is to help people to better understand where they are and what it will take to get them where they want to go. I possess an arsenal of strategies to help students to grasp information and the patience to help them succeed in processing and utilizing that information. I have over 12 years of teaching students with special needs. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters of Education degree. I have had several opportunities to tutor students. I believe that all students can learn and I love to help them to discern how they learn best. Once they have that information it allows them to be able to guide their own learning. I enjoy helping students learn to read and learn how to master math as well. I would love to help your student with reading, writing, or math. I also am interested in helping students to learn better study skills or to prepare for tests.

I am an actor, writer, and composer, with degrees in Theatre and English from Northwestern University. I have been passionate about literature and writing for as long as I can remember, and I use that passion to make critical reading, comprehension, and testing much easier and less daunting. I tutor English, Writing, and SAT Prep for Critical Reading and Writing. One of the things that make me stand out as a teacher is that I remember well what it's like to struggle in a subject. I was not good at math or science, so I understand what it is like to have difficulty grasping concepts. I can easily see how a student learns, and explain the concept in a manner in which the student can understand. Outside of teaching, I act in plays, write films, and I am currently composing a musical.

I'm currently a sophomore at Florida State University planning to major in Computer Science. I started tutoring students through volunteering and found that the best way to help them succeed is to be their number one fan. I believe every student is capable of learning but with their own pace and style. I make sure to adjust my teaching to best fit the student I am teaching.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish! I moved from Mexico at 7 so I have worked on developing my skills in both languages. I am a college graduate and I truly enjoy people and working with children. I believe in the power of language and find that speaking, writing and reading in two languages is fascinating and has helped me meet so many people!I recently moved to Furlong, PA and I am pursuing my certification with the Pennsylvania Courts to be a certified court interpreter. I have experience with Legalese, medical Spanish and was also a Teacher's Assistant for Spanish classes in High School. I have worked as a tutor before and would love the opportunity to help someone else grow in the love for Spanish.Not only am I a native speaker, but I have worked hard to ensure that my knowledge of Spanish remains up to date.
