I have completed my undergraduate in aerospace engineering. Currently, I am a high school math teacher in Texas. I teach Calculus, Algebra, and SAT Math.Please feel free to reach out to me if high school mathematics seems overwhelming.

I Graduated from Alief Hastings High School with a 3.9 GPA and extensive volunteer work with Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA). From there, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S in Sociology, minor in Chemistry and Pre-Health Certificate. During this time, I studied abroad and studied some foreign languages. Upon graduation I have been working as a nurse, shadowing doctors and, now, I'm back in school for my nursing degree.

I am a graduate of Ashford University. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I also graduated from the University of El Salvador with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a specialization in Teaching. I have taught ESL in a private school and at the English Extension Program of a university. I have tutored Language Arts, Math and Spanish. I enjoy teaching a second language and I always encourage my students to learn new languages since it opens worldwide opportunities to succeed in life. In my spare time, I love reading and being outdoors appreciating the beauty of nature. I also have a passion for arts & crafts and I enjoy spending time with my family.

I have taught primarily in the middle school in my district and have experience teaching all three middle school grade levels. I spend the first five years of my career teaching sixth grade before transitioning to seventh grade for year and finally settling into teaching eighth grade for the last five years. Throughout this time I have worked with students who have had a range of skill levels, but I have had significant experience with struggling readers and writers. I have worked in a one on one setting with students both in the classroom and as a private tutor. I have a simple philosophy that every student is capable of success given the right tools and a little time and attention.Additionally, I have worked with high school level students as well, especially aiding in the writing of college essays. I also have a strong knowledge of American History and am able to tutor students in that subject as well. I'm a recent college graduate in the Boston area focusing on English/writing tutoring as well as LSAT test prep. Throughout college I worked with students of all backgrounds to hone their writing abilities, and developed methods to help demystify the writing process and dramatically improve the quality of their writing. As a tutor, I strive to make writing understandable and enjoyable for my students and to help them connect with the writing process in their own way. I am patient and I enjoy working with students one on one to establish an environment in which they feel comfortable learning with me . I also have years of experience teaching adults English. The adults that I have worked with also reach goals of speaking fluently and overall being more comfortable speaking , reading and writing English. I am a certified Special Education Teacher at a private school in Tempe, AZ. I recieved my Master's degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Special Education with a focus on Assistive Technology. I am passionate about this field and I love helping students use technology and tools to enhance the learning process. I value the power of education and I want to make learning fun and accessible to all students. Before starting my career as a full time teacher, I traveled the world around Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America. I spent four months as a nanny for a family in Italy, teaching English to their four children. I also spent six weeks in Guatemala, volunteering to help educate students with special needs. These experiences truly helped to make me a more well rounded and cultured individual who can adapt easily to the needs of others. I absolutely love to read, which is why I love helping students in Language Arts and Writing. I worked for 2 years at my alma mater University, helping college students with disabilities develop their academic skills. While I did assist them in all subjects, I mostly helped them to develop their writing, time management, and organization skills. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.

In 2015 I received a master's degree in Public Accounting from Stayer University. I am currently preparing to sit for the CPA exam in the first quarter of 2018.I tutor in literacy, reading, writing and accounting. My favorite subject to tutor is accounting because it's a passion of mine. I believe that we all process information differently. Because of this it is best to find out how each individual learns best and cater to that.I write and perform poetry, I am also a visual artist and I enjoying painting in my downtime.
