For the past decade I've worked in renewable energy designing wind turbines for some of the top tier global wind power companies. In 2017, I co-founded a wind power business that has been funded by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, US Department of Agriculture, and US Air Force.My approach to tutoring math and physics is to incorporate real life use cases. When students see the practical application of a subject, they are more likely to enjoy and understand it. I will incorporate aspects of renewable energy, wind power in particular, into my tutoring. While I tutor in university level subjects, I also volunteer as an after school tutor for refugee students in STL, through Firm Foundations tutoring, so I work with younger students as well. I have always enjoyed tutoring since my high school years as I believe in the importance of spreading knowledge and giving everyone the help they deserve so they can all equally excel. As a biology major, I would have to say it is my favorite subject, however I enjoy spanish and statistics as well.
