I have a BA in History from Florida International University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and received an award for academic achievement. During my time at FIU, I was employed as a preceptor by the History Department which provided me with the opportunity to teach students proper research and writing skills. I found that many students had been poorly equipped in high school to deal with the rigors of college-level work, and I made it a point to teach my students the skills they would need to be successful. History and writing go hand-in-hand, and I consider myself an excellent tutor for American and European history, effective essay writing skills, and proper research and study skills. My tutoring gives high school students the skills they will need to succeed in college and college students the skills they will need to graduate. As someone with a love for antiquity, I enjoy studying and teaching classical Japanese martial arts and have done so for fifteen years. Whenever possible, I attend living history events throughout the state of Florida. I also consider myself a bit of an automobile enthusiast and enjoy the feel of a well-made sports car.
