I am currently entering my fourth year at Southern Methodist University where I am studying to attain a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Spanish. I have learned from professors who are professionals in their fields and many of which have had great impacts on the field of Economics. I spent the summer of 2014 living with a Spanish family in Madrid and taking classes as part of SMU's Advanced Spanish program in Madrid. I tutor a wide range of Math levels as well as Economics and Spanish. Through my experience as a student who used tutors in the past, I learned that the key to strengthening one's abilities in any subject is through practice and repetition. For this reason, my lessons emphasize the need for the students to engage themselves in order to take what they have learned in school, in the tutoring sessions, and on their own to successfully strengthen their knowledge. This will be accomplished through a lot of practice (problems, questions, grammar, vocabulary, etc) with guidance from me. In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, cooking, traveling, reading, and yoga.

I'm a graduate of The University of Michigan with a dual degree in Mathematics and Economics with highest honors and I currently hold a finance research appointment at Columbia Business School. Having dedicated my time to master quantitative subjects such as Math, Econ and Stats, I hope to share my knowledge with students who need help with these subjects or students who are looking to expand their knowledge beyond what's taught in class.During my undergraduate studies, I tutored one-on-one and in small groups to students at the University of Michigan on introductory / intermediate Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. I also taught statistics and pre-calc / calc. From this experience, I developed a passion for helping students gain confidence in math and build their skills. I just relocated to NYC a couple of months ago to being my research appointment at Columbia Business School, so I am looking for new students to tutor.Additionally, I received a perfect GRE quant score. I have mastered all of the question on this test. I am willing to provide tricks to tackle all of the questions in the GRE quant section in order to solve them as fast as possible. Time is always a binding constraint when it comes to the GRE or any standardized test and I am willing to provide help on this. I can also tutor SAT Math.Contact me if you are interested in my services or would like to know more about me.

Hello! I have extensive experience tutoring students in SAT/ACT prep, AP test prep, writing and reading comprehension, and math. As a tutor, I make it my priority to focus on each specific problem while also making sure that the student understands the broader concepts as a whole. In high school I tutored my sports teammates as well as younger students who needed assistance editing and workshopping essays. I am currently enrolled as an applied accounting and finance major at the Fordham Gabelli School of Business where I'm taking business statistics and calculus classes alongside writing and economics classes. In my free time, I watch tons of basketball and football and love action movies.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Hong Kong in 2010. I majored in Economics and Psychology and minored in Math at the University of Pennsylvania. I'm currently a 7th Grade Science Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools in New York City. I undertook a summer teaching residency, Summerbridge Hong Kong, where I designed and taught underprivileged Hong Kong middle school students, provided feedback on teachers' lesson plans, observed teachers' lessons and coached them, and worked in a team to run the entire program. I've wanted to become a teacher since I was 16, and I look forward to potentially tutoring you!

I feel my function is to prepare students for the next step, kind of like a minor league coach. It's going to burn a little, but it will absolutely be worth it in the end.

I am a 2016 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in Economics and Music. Outside of work (where I am a management consultant), I play hockey and piano.Since high school, I have helped fellow students with academics. At school, I was also a tutor through Penn's Tutoring Center. I think what makes me a successful tutor is the ability to not only understand the material but also the perspective of the tutee. This helps me convey necessary information in the best way possible for that particular student.

Currently, I attend Victor Senior High and will begin my education at Tulane University in the fall, studying both biomedical engineering and computer science. My past experiences tutoring both younger students and peers allow me to develop a unique approach to help students facing any type of challenge in their subject area. I personally enjoy tutoring math and science, and they have both become passions that I will continue to pursue in my education. I believe a strong foundation in both areas is fundamental in scholastic success, so I often break down subjects to their roots in order to help a student succeed from the ground level up to most advanced topics.Additionally, I enjoy tutoring ACT/SAT preparation, because I believe the right foundation and study tactics can make all the difference in performance on both of these exams, ideally saving students hours of studying material that may be repetitive or unnecessary. My tutoring style is very flexible, as I aim to discover how each student learns and cater to their unique style. I'm always up for the challenge of changing my methods of instruction and breaking down topics to foster a deeper understanding of a subject. On a different note, I generally spend my spare time playing lacrosse or running outdoors when possible. I also play the violin with a school quartet, and teach lessons to beginning students working through the Suzuki program.
