I am a highly motivated and passionate teacher/tutor with absolute devotion to aiding students in their inspiring story. I was born and raised in Utah and have developed a deep background in the principles of creative writing, college-level writing, reading, and literature. I earned a BA in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis at Weber State University and have had some of my fictional work offered to be published in undergrad literary journals. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree at Western Governor's University in Secondary English Education and have just finished all my coursework. This, along with over three years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, is the foundation of my commitment to helping out all my students. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about English, literature, creative writing and academic writing; and most importantly, inspiring students to develop a love for learning and always giving their best effort.

I have been in the education field for over 15 years. I love assisting others of all ages in exploring and expanding their learning capacity, which in turn, enriches the quality of their lives. My biggest joy as a teacher is seeing someone come to a full understanding of a concept they could not grasp before. Helping the learner reach those "a-ha" moments is what a teacher does!

I hold a PharmD from UNC and a BS Biochemistry from Georgia Tech. I want to help students learn and love STEM and achieve their full potential.

I am a former high school teacher in the state of Illinois. Having taught both French and Spanish for the past thirty-two years, I have had the pleasure of sharing my passion for languages with all age groups from junior high to university students. During this time, I have tutored students in French from all ages. I have also had experience tutoring a broad range of subjects outside of foreign language study. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in French with a certificate in teaching. This was accompanied by a minor in Spanish language. I have a Master's degree in Media Communications from Governor's State University and continuing education studies in Education, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Studies. My experience with youth is not limited to the classroom. I am heavily involved with the Lions Club at the local, district, and state levels. My involvement includes many service projects but my main focus is with youth: the Leo Club (a younger version of the Lions) and Lions Quest ( an instructional program for social interaction). I enjoy teaching the youth of today, each experience is unique, and I find I learn from them as well.

I love learning, teaching and interacting with people about the subject matter that I am very passionate about. I do not believe that any subject is superior to another, and that together they form the basis of a well-rounded, informed individual. With regard to my particular areas of expertise, History, Social and Political Sciences, I feel that these areas all interact, and react, to each other and form an essential part of our human story; the story of us if you will.

I love teaching and working with students and I take great satisfaction in watching their scores and confidence level increase as we continue to work together!
