I am a graduate of Boston College. I received my Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in French; my studies primarily focused on international affairs. I am passionate about teaching areas I focused on during my four years in Boston including history, government, and French but also have an established background in writing, literature, and English. I believe it is important to identify a unique approach for every student according to their specific needs because as I have learned, each student has individual strengths and difficulties. I am a senior at Washington University in St. Louis studying History, Political Science, and Legal Studies. Currently, I am working on an Honors Thesis about foreign policy and American electoral politics and independently studying positive psychology and Middle Eastern governments. I hope to eventually go to law school, where I can continue to research, read, analyze, and write extensively. A step in this direction, I took the LSAT a few months ago and I am familiar with the test's altered protocol. In addition to majors and minors, I have studied upper-level math, literature, philosophy, and art history. My favorite subjects to teach are History, English, Writing, Social Studies, and Math. In addition to academic support, my tutoring philosophy emphasizes organizational skills, study strategies, and growth mindsets and confidence.

I am a graduate of the University of Delaware. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Education. I went on to receive my Masters Degree in Secondary Education and Special Education. I am currently a Special Education teacher at a high school in Passaic Valley. Part of my daily responsibilities is tutoring students after class to help all different types of learners reach the same goal - understanding! The subjects that I tutor do not include only those in the social sciences, but also reading and writing skills. Reading and writing are crucial skills for all learners, and for any type of career path that a student chooses to follow. If my experience in education has taught me anything, it is that there are many different types of learning styles and it is meeting the need of that learning style that will help to foster appropriate understanding. Outside of the classroom, I also help coach wrestling and football at the high school, which are my passions outside of the academic sphere.

As the daughter of a retired high school math teacher, I can honestly say that the love of teaching, learning, and discovery is in my blood (though the passion for math never did quite transfer!). Moreover, I also have experience in lecturing high school students on Political Science, Macroeconomics, US Government, International Comparative Government, Business, Finance, and Current Events.I'm a world traveler, and enjoy immersing myself in different cultures.
