I obtained my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and I now work as a Lecturer for the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, School of Mathematics.I also obtained both my Bachelor's and Master's of Arts degree from Rhode Island College (RIC) and have worked as a Math Tutor and Teacher's Assistant throughout my time at RIC. Intellectually, I believe knowledge is fluid and requires practice to perfect. I enjoy showing my peers/students different ways of examining problems in order to achieve a well-rounded understanding of the material through derivation, never memorization. My main mission is to showcase my passion for Math and hopefully encourage students to see the beauty and wonder of this phenomenal subject.

I believe the greatest ability of a teacher is to change the way a student sees the world. This is what I hope to offer through my classes. Additionally, I also enjoy the challenge of explaining a concept in a way that the students can easily grasp.Right from my junior year in college, I volunteered to mentor middle school and high school students in India. These students were from under-privileged and their struggles inspired me to do better for them. I continued my teaching journey through both my masters degrees as a Teaching Assistant and taught many subjects including: mathematics, programming, design thinking, statistics and even 3d printing.I also informally guide students through their university applications, provide inputs on their essays, and give them insights into how the admissions process works.I enjoy teaching physics and mechanical engineering concepts because it allows me to present some unique examples that inspire students' imagination.I received my undergrad degree in Mechanical Engineering in Hyderabad, India. My first Masters degree in Industrial and systems Engineering from Youngstown State University, Ohio. And my second Masters degree in Business Analytics from Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Ohio.

Since late high school I have had a regular teaching commitment, whether it was helping younger students prepare for standardized tests or TA'ing for college courses. I have designed and implemented outsourcing solutions for major industries including major banks, manufacturing, medical, and education, technical and service industries.I have earned an MSc (Waterloo), MBA (University of Phoenix), and is at present completing his dissertation for a PhD in Information Technology program at the University of Phoenix.I have taught many graduate and undergraduate courses at the University of Phoenix, both on site and online as well as in Keller/DeVry University. I also have a certification in Project Management (PMP), Green Belt Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma and Cloud Technology. I also has a passion for teaching Mathematics and computer and project management courses in an effort to raise the level of knowledge and skills of our students.

I manage programs across a spectrum of needs including scientific promotion, research program design and implementation, strategic planning, and financial tracking.I have a variety of scientific interests, which is why I decided to pursue a PhD in epidemiology. I have studied a number of disorders including smooth muscle cell proliferation in heart disease, DNA repair in ataxia telangiectasia, second messenger signalling in pancreatic cancer, and protein folding in hereditary pancreatitis. I am interested in the application of large data set information to appropriately inform clinical decisions and health/environmental policies. Biostatistical ethics and reproducible data are, therefore, important areas of research to me. I am also interested in cost-efficient ways to improve health outcomes, such as diet and stress.I love teaching and explaining ideas--seeing the change on a person's face when they finally 'get' a concept. I especially enjoying teaching scientific writing (including grant writing), basic biostatistics, and biomedical and statistical ethics.My passion for writing includes communicating scientific concepts to the general public, and listening to people in order to understand what they want to know. I have learned, through my work with Dr. Erin Haynes, to also listen to communities, and to value the expertise that they bring to me.Specialties: Some people are creative, some people can spin, and some people know science, but few can combine all three. I make grants better. I bring seventeen years of benchwork, including molecular biology and small animal surgery, as part of my experiential package. Expert in experimental design, career development programs, and some expertise in the design and analysis of human research studies.

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. My major was in energy economics with a finance concentration. Throughout my academic years at UCO, I was named to the President's Honor Roll list.I was also awarded several honors and awards. Some of the awards I received include the Michael Metzger Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the Economic Club of Oklahoma Scholarship. Both of these awards were considered to be the most prestigious award that can be awarded to an undergraduate economic student at UCO.Furthermore, I was also honored to have been chosen to join the International Business Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma in 2018. Invitations to this society were only given to the top 10% of undergraduate students at an AACSB accredited business school.Later on, I was chosen to represent the UCO College of Business to participate in the Broncho Business Leader Program. Students were selected for this program based on their academic achievement and their desire to grow in their leadership skills.I look forward to helping students achieve the grades they dream of. I strongly believe that every student has the capability of succeeding as long as the syllabus/lesson is delivered with passion and patience.

I have obtained my Masters degree in Mathematics plus 7 years later, my PhD, also in Mathematics. In the US, I have lived a year in Washington State (Seattle area) and close to a year in California (Los Angeles area). Outside the US, I grew up and resided in the Philippines (Manila area) until moving to Texas (Houston area) in 1994, which is the year after I obtained my doctorate in pure math. I speak English and Filipino fluently & can manage simple conversations in Spanish. My goal is to make a difference, one student or one class at a time by helping each person learn incrementally their math related material.

I love economics because it is a smart combination of statistical rigor and humanity.I also was an economics Ph.D. student in University of California, Davis studying theoretical microeconomics and econometrics for 3 years before I dropped out in 2019.I realized that what I love the most is applying knowledge to solve real world problems and help other people understand things.I still love economics but I am much more into applying statistics, econometrics, and programming to solve real problems.I fell in love with teaching during my Ph.D. years. I love to see how students can really understand things if they find the right way -- the right people or the right recourses -- to learn from. I want to be students' right kind of way to learn!I strive to try my best to use what I know to help students solve problems and understand things with more clarity.I firmly believe that seeing things from different perspectives is the fastest way to gain real understanding.

Tutoring can be a lot of fun for both students and teachers. I enjoy challenging my students, and it is a thrill to see their insights as they solve problems and learn new things.I began teaching swimming lessons when I was 17 years old, and after several years became the manager of the swimming lessons program in Fort Worth, TX. This led me to develop a long-term interest in how people learn, and how learning systems can be efficiently designed to help them succeed at every step along the way.Since then I have gained experience in tutoring a large variety of subjects, including programing, physics, calculus, the SAT, the MCAT, etc.I am good at explaining and breaking things down in multiple ways -- words, diagrams, analogies -- to make concepts clear. There are very few things I cannot explain or articulate.Currently my favorite subjects to tutor include computer programming, mathematics, statistics, and physics.
