I am a current graduate student of the University of Florida studying Forensic Veterinary Medicine Online. I received my Associates of Arts with a focus in Criminal Justice. I then completed my Bachelor's of Science, for which my major was Biology and my minor in Criminal Justice. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Digital Forensics, and a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology and Cell Science. Since I began college, I was a teaching assistant that taught a variety of subjects to kids of all ages. I also taught piano/music and art classes for numerous years, which was quite enjoyable (as I am a very creative person and love seeing others' creativity). While I teach a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about Science and English. In my experience, helping students that are struggling is very fulfilling, as I have experienced what it is like to struggle in class. During medical school I continued developing my passion for teaching. Running tutoring sessions for my peers and underclassmen, organizing a medical education and exposure program for high school students known as HPREP, creating educational materials in the form of video demonstrations, and eventually being hired as an adjunct professor of Gross Anatomy for the Occupational Therapy program at Downstate Medical Center. I am currently in the medical education track at my school and in training to become a full-time faculty member after graduating. My teaching style is focused on meeting the student where they are. I always begin assessing the current knowledge base and level of understanding so I can have a good idea of where to start.
