I am a graduate of The University of Toledo, where I received my Bachelor and Master's degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Since obtaining those degrees, I have continued my love for education by working with students in Higher Education as a College Admissions Director before returning to various roles in Elementary School and to the Elementary Classroom. I have tutored students both online and face to face, and I love seeing the progress that each student makes throughout the process. I am most passionate about Reading and Writing. I have always had a love for these subjects since I was a child, and that passion has carried over into my life as a teacher and in my classroom. I love using books to enhance a student's experiences in the classroom and in the tutoring environment and making connections to their everyday lives. I have seen tremendous growth in my students academically throughout the years and ultimately growth in skills and self-confidence. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, DIY projects, exercise, traveling, and spending time with my family.

I first began tutoring during my sophomore year at Umass Dartmouth. I had always enjoyed helping my friends with their more difficult subjects and thought it was a logical step to make that passion into a job. For two years now, I have tutored students in math, physics, English and programming at the university. When I return to the university this fall for my masters program, I will continue to tutor and enjoy helping my peers find their academic success.Outside of tutoring, I have competitively swam for going on 16 years and am currently the captain of our university's NCAA swim team. As well, I enjoy hiking, running, reading, working out, going to the movies and astronomy. I have a methodology that no student, no matter how much they may be struggling, is unteachable. I had three peers fail calculus their first semester, own that fact and come to the tutoring center for help the following semester. After working with them, all passed calculus this past spring term with no lower than a B+. Teaching is a passion for me and I look forward to sharing that passion with you in the pursuit of your academic success.

I am a lawyer and college instructor. I graduated cum laude (3.6 GPA) from University of Georgia School of Law (a top 30 school). I obtained a bachelor's degree in French and Biology from University of Delaware. I currently tutor LSAT and I am interested in branching out to tutor the GRE, reading/writing, sociology and government. I have taught a wide range of sociology courses and I am presently teaching a research and writing course at the college level. My tutoring strategy focuses on the student with whom I am working. Before meeting, I try to first assess problem areas to strategize a plan that will make the most impact quickly. I am a medical student currently attending the 6 year BA/MD program at UMKC. My interest in both the sciences and the humanities has led me to pursue a career in medicine. My favorite subjects to learn and teach include English reading and writing, Mandarin, math, and biology. I am especially passionate about teaching English reading and writing because as someone who personally went through the process of learning English from scratch, I deeply understand the challenges involved in honing one's language skills. I hope to use the lessons I have learned from my experience to help others who are working on improving their reading and writing skills, no matter how far they are along the process. I am patient, persistent, supportive, receptive to feedback, and I always strive to adapt my tutoring style to work with each student's unique needs and expectations.

I am a recent summa cum laude graduate of Framingham State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I completed my degree during COVID having to work remotely and independently, which gave me greater experience in self-learning. I have experience tutoring in grammar and syntax as well as essay writing. During my senior year in college, I worked with other students helping them to develop their senior thesis project from conceptualizing their focus, through the research portion, and as they wrote their term paper. I also worked with students on their college admissions essays providing editing assistance and constructive feedback. My focus with students is to help them realize their full potential while working with them to better express themselves with the written word. I am most passionate about Writing, English Literature, Sociology, Study skills/organization and research skills. My personal interests and hobbies include playing with my dogs, reading, and tennis.

I am currently a sophomore at New York University studying Mathematics. Math and science have always fascinated me due to their application towards everyday technology. Along with economics, these are my favorite subjects to tutor because they involve concrete answers deeply rooted in logic. As a tutor, I strive to help students better understand complex problems and develop problem-solving skills. This mindset is obviously crucial for tests, but it also helps students develop analytical techniques that can benefit them in innumerable ways. Outside academics, I enjoy reading about current affairs, weight lifting, and of course, watching Netflix.

I am a senior at Muhlenberg College and I am double majoring in Media & Communications and French & Francophone studies. Last fall I had the opportunity to study abroad in southern France and complete a full french-language cultural immersion program. Therefore, my french abilities increased significantly. I know that french isn't always easy; however, I have learned some helpful tips along the way. I know how to break things down and make what seemed difficult at first, appear very simple and clear.
