Hi there! My name is Courtney and I'm a freelance writer and copywriter. I recently moved to the Richmond area from Minneapolis, MN, where I earned my B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Minnesota.

I have been tutoring since I was in college and love coaching students on writing and reading comprehension and analysis. Most recently, I have been teaching French to a neighbor who is doing work in Niger next spring.

Whether it's in French or any other subject, I believe that hands-on exercise and repetition are key for ingraining a concept the mind. I like to present and discuss topics, but after that I think that the student had to get their hands a little dirty. I also believe that many people know way more than they think they do, so part of the learning process is having confidence in your knowledge.
