I have my BA in English, and MS in Education, both from Hunter College. For the past year I worked as a lead teacher but I really miss tutoring. Prior to teaching, I tutored for 2 years and found it extremely gratifying. I have a proven track record for student achievement. One of my students achieved the highest score in her school on the Social Studies State Exam. In addition, my students improved by 30% after only 20 tutoring hours (on average, comparing pre-assessment and post-assessment scores). I have experience tutoring grades 1-8, but I really shine with elementary students. I strive to help students reach the next level; whether they are struggling to keep up, or striving to be at the head of the class. I have experience tutoring in Reading Comprehension, Writing, Grammar, Math, Science and Social Studies. I find learning fun and bring my love of learning to every session.- Lee
