I also had the single honor to work with Project Reach Youths high school students who were mostly from battered homes. Once again, my past experience with abuse and openness to share made me a trusting companion for my students to open up to and so I was able to break barriers and was able to help them academically as well as emotionally.Nothing happens by accident as far as I am concerned.I am woman with a life purpose driven by love, compassion, optimism, patience and determination. I learnt from my experiences that it takes more than smarts and desire to venture into any academic path. I have endured countless rejections, setbacks, disappointments but I have also met great pioneers and motivators who have urged me to push forward. I am also honored to report that I am trendsetter in my family; The first to earn a Bachelors degree and also the very first of my entire family to receive any graduate level education let alone a medical profession. I graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory in 2015, where I earned a B.A. in Chemistry and a B.Mus. in Vocal Performance. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, both as an academic tutor and as a choir director. I've been a mathematician and tutor for about 15 years. I have also taught mathematics at the college level for the past 7 years. My research touches on the interactions between math and theoretical computer science, as well as number theory (largely the study of prime numbers). I've taught courses ranging from basic arithmetic up through linear algebra and multivariable calculus. The second most exciting thing about mathematics is that moment when something totally opaque and confusing suddenly solidifies into crystal clarity. It's the sort of moment that makes you shout "aha!" or "eureka!". The most exciting thing about mathematics is sharing that experience with someone else.

I am an undergraduate biochemistry major at the University of Notre Dame. Previously, I was employed at Mathnasium of Granger for two years, where I was a math instructor for all ages and math-related subjects.

I am currently graduating from School for Advanced Studies high school and Miami Dade College with my Associates in Art both simultaneously. I am going to continue my education at Carnegie Mellon University. I tutor my peers and anyone that needs help in my family. I have a pretty wide range of what I can teach because of all the different people that need help. I am also able to teach in different ways to make sure that the student understands and masters the materials given.
