I am dedicated to helping others make sense of the world around them.

I am a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles- Letters of Science department. I received my Bachelor's in biological sciences in June 2020. While in school, I worked part-time as an Accounts Payable Assistant for the library business services and I volunteered a lot of my time providing assistance to hospitalized geriatric populations at UCLA medical center. I was also part of a free clinic community where I provided preventive medicine advice and performed glucose and blood pressure exams on the medically underserved communities in South Los Angeles. In addition, as part of a Peer Mentorship Program, I guided incoming freshmen in getting adjusted to the college environment and provided resources for academic services available on campus. Since graduation, I have worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, tutored students on Upchieve and Junior Achievement online platforms, and improved my learning and organizational skills using skillshare. While I am interested in tutoring a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about teaching Science, Math, and English. I am a strong advocate for education and I truly believe in the power of collaborative learning and helping students achieve their academic goals. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, going on hikes, and participating in volleyball and badminton matches!

I am a Senior in college at Cedarville University currently studying civil engineering. I have taken up through Calculus 3 along with Physics 1& 2, Statistics, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Algebra. I also received an excellent score on the SAT after many stressful hours of studying. I understand the pressure that comes with the exam and would love to help alleviate some of that. I love tutoring students as I have already done so for many years. I hope to one day travel overseas and help design systems that will transport drinkable water to those in developing countries. I am currently a pre-med student at the University of Texas at Austin completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. Although I enjoy teaching other subjects such as math, I am most passionate about teaching science courses since that is what I am currently studying as well. Since I am completing my undergraduate degree, I still remember what it was like to be in high school. I am confident that I will be able to explain concepts in an easy way to understand, as well as give tips on how to succeed and apply to college.

I am a second year medical student in the new MD program at Nova Southeastern University. I began tutoring students on a volunteer basis when I was in high school and was employed by a tutoring agency while in college. I have experience working with students in Math, Sciences (Biology & Chemistry), and Spanish and have experience tutoring students in Elementary, Middle, and High School as well as college. I also have experience with SAT and ACT prep as I obtained high scores on those standardized tests as well as the MCAT (medical school admissions exams). I conduct sea turtle comparative pathology research with global collaborators and have published journal articles as primary and secondary author. I have extensive experience studying and communicating science topics like Biology, Environmental Science, and Chemistry. I also have a passion for English and enjoy helping students at any stage of the writing process - whether they simply have a prompt or a full paper to edit!

I am in school at Grand Canyon University and am working on obtaining a degree in Elementary Education. I currently work full-time as a literacy interventionist in a local elementary school. I'm very good at staying organized and enjoy most school subjects.

I'm Sophie, and I'm a medical student with a passion for teaching. I want to work with patients, but my other goal is to go into academic medicine. I can't picture my present or future without education in it. I began tutoring for my little sister when both of us were in high school, helping her with math, English, science, and Spanish. In college, I started branching out to tutor friends. In 2019 I began volunteer tutoring for my college's chemistry department, and soon after, I took on a job at a local tutoring center teaching biology and chemistry (and occasionally physics and math) to high school students. Since taking the MCAT and scoring 99th percentile, I started tutoring for that as well. Biology and chemistry are my main teaching areas: chemistry because I've had the most tutoring experience in it, and biology because I have practical experience through lab research and patient care. I can also teach math or physics (I used to be an engineering student so I know those subjects well). I pride myself on bringing a real passion for the subjects I teach. I also strive to abolish simple; disjointed memorization and help my students see their subject matter through a logical, problem-solving oriented lens. I look forward to learning with you!
