Andrea

I am currently completing my Student Teaching Internship at Florida International University and will graduate with my bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education in December. I have co-taught elementary-middle school in a classroom setting, I have tutored Elementary school students in reading, writing, and math, and have tutored a high school student in Algebra. My favorite subject to tutor is reading. I believe reading is the most important skill to master, and providing reading intervention is very rewarding, as seeing student growth is incredible. In addition, I have taught and provided tutoring to students with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disabilities, and intellectual disabilities in core subject areas. This is my true passion, as teaching students with disabilities is what I am pursuing my career in, and what I love to do. I love teaching/tutoring in a way that is unique to each learner, I always get to know my students so I can successfully differentiate instruction according to each student's needs.

My interests outside of teaching include reading, baking, exercising, and traveling! I also love Disney and spending time with friends.
