About Me

I graduated from the University of Delaware with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I spent a lot of time tutoring elementary and middle school students in reading and math. I also led two summer programs in which I facilitated STEM and teamwork activities with elementary aged students. Since graduation, I have spent two years teaching 5th and 6th grade English Language Arts in Boston, MA. I really enjoy working with my students to adapt my instruction in order to make it work for them. I believe education is really individualized-- every student learns differently and I am passionate about delivering instruction that is fun, engaging and relevant to each student! While I have experience tutoring and teaching many subjects for elementary and early middle school aged students, I really enjoy teaching math and reading. My goal is to make my students feel confident in themselves and in their ability to learn, and also have fun doing it! Outside of work, I love to run, hike, and paint.
