About Me

My undergraduate degree in Math Education is from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. I have two master's degrees, one in Computer Resources and Information Management and the other in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas. I am passionate about teaching and tutoring middle and high school math. In high school, I have taught Algebra 1 and 2, Liberal Arts Math 1 and 2, Precalculus, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics. In addition, I have experience working at a community college and can help with College Preparatory Math and College Algebra. I have worked both in the classroom and virtually. My favorite math subject is Precalculus because I love Trigonometry!! I believe that ANY student can be successful in math but may need help. Making sure a student is comfortable is the first step and exploring what they are struggling with is second. Frequently, after understanding what a student may need, I create a plan that matches their unique learning style. Maybe you want to improve your college applications by getting help with the SAT or being more prepared for your next math class. We can work on that also. I have traveled all over the world! Extensively in Europe and to visit my son in Thailand. At home, my companions are my dog Sparkles and Tina Turner the cat. They love to cuddle. Also, I love taking walks, working in the garden, watching TV, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. I would love to help you with all of your middle and high school math tutoring needs.
