About Me

I am passionate about helping students because I had people invest in me when I struggled in school when I was younger. Now I want to pay it forward, so my future career goal is to become a college professor and continue research in molecular biology. I earned my Bachelor of Science at Arizona State University in Biochemistry with a minor in Global Health and a doctorate in Biomedical Science from Meharry Medical College. I have experience in tutoring high school, college, and graduate school students. I tutor sciences such as biology (high school/college), cell biology, chemistry (high school/college), and biochemistry; math courses (algebra and geometry) and help with college admissions and application essays. My teaching philosophy is that since everyone's learning style and capability is unique, I must learn to adapt new ways of teaching to cover a broad range of students. Also, to lead by example, using real-world examples. My interests outside of academia are dance, cooking, and hiking/walking. Hobbies: hiking, reading, cooking, music, writing, art, books
