About Me
Jammal Day is a musical "jack of all trades". His career in the music industry began as a vocal producer for artists and songwriters signed to WaterMusic Publishing. He soon moved into engineering full time as he partnered with multi-Grammy winner Comissioner Gordon with whom he worked on major records domestically and internationally. His dual abilities as an engineer and singer/songwriter have afforded him a rich variety of experiences with a diverse network of musicians, studios, and other engineers. A French horn player since 7th grade, he went on to become Drum Major of his high school marching band. At Howard University, he majored in Music Education and Theory and arranged numerous charts for the world famous Showtime Marching Band. Day is a studio owner and a freelance engineer whose clients have included Elle Varner, Guy Davis, Estelle, Fabolous, Joe Budden, and Bilal. He has also provided live sound for artists and performers, including the Isley Brothers, Smokey Robinson, Tony Danza, Keb' Mo', Regina Bell, Joan Baez, Martin Sexton, Eric Roberson, Sinbad, Lisa Lampanelli, and author Marianne Williamson.
