Be Fun. Be Empowering. Be Productive. That's my goal in every session and I have the character traits to make sure that happens. I offer students an enjoyable experience with my humor and relevant examples. As a student myself, I know how to encourage students to ensure they feel confident about content and confident applying their knowledge. I have a strong discipline and stay task-oriented so that students leave every session taking a step forward towards mastering their subject. I am currently a senior at Cornell University studying Biology with a concentration on Neurobiology and Behavior. I'm also minoring in business. All that to say, I want to become a doctor, I love to think, and I have the spirit of an entrepreneur! I want to tutor and teach in order to pass on what I've learned and help others learn. I've been the benefactor of tutoring throughout high school and even now in college. I believe it can truly change a student's academic prospect. For me, tutoring goes beyond helping a student solve a problem. It's helping students to enjoy the process of thinking for themselves and struggling through material. I hope that, with this position on Varsity Tutors, I can do that over and over again.
